The historic Tenuta di San Fabiano owned by the Borghini Counts Baldovinetti de' Bacci begins a kilometer from the walls of Arezzo in the surrounding hills. It lies on the slopes of Casentino, north-east of the city. The current settlement is located on the ancient sea route that brought food from the Adriatic, crossing the whole valley and then over the Casentino mountains, to reach Arezzo.
